I was having a rummage through my boxes of gaming stuff as I do now and then. It is cool when you find something you have hoarded away that you have completely forgotten about. I found this piece of resin scenery that I must have bought at least twenty years ago. I think it is about time I actually did something with it.

Taken it out of the box. It looks a little on the small side but I think it might still work.

That's the sort of place I could see the 95th Rifles defending, as the blue coated froggies throw themselves at the walls (Just like in Sharpe's Havoc!)

I pictured it for the Napoleonics then thought it could be used for WWII as well. Looking alright so far.

Just varnished. Quite pleased with the way it turned out.

Looks good. You going to be able to put a table together for a game tomorrow just with new stuff?

Not quite. Got a bit of a scenery thing going on at the moment. Another couple of stands of trees in the pipeline.

Hi Steve,
I am thinking of making up some road sections like your ones. I really liked the look of the ones you had made for the last club meeting. I am hoping you might be able to give me the measurements for them, so I could make mine up to match yours. That way if need be we could potentially join them together.

The straight roads are 30cm long and, more important, 8cm wide.
I am thinking of making some more with a less coarse surface, no grass edges and in brown. That way I will be able to use them on both my grass mat and winter table.

I cannot remember :-( but it did look quite substantial.

It is 4mm mdf. Don't have any more of that so the newer ones are going to be 3mm. Just 1mm difference isn't really going to be noticed.
I remember that ages ago you said you wanted to work on Stalingrad themed scenery. Did you get anywhere with that?

I am ashamed to say I have not progressed very far at all with my Stalingrad themed terrain. I am hoping to get a little done each week but finding the time to achieve this goal is often difficult. I really like the tables that you and Scott put together they really look beautiful and make the games much more interesting to watch. I certainly aspire to bring something similar along to the club one day soonish :-)
